Ishani Chandra is the Managing Partner at Sagar Chandra & Associates, and she heads the trade mark and patent practice of the firm . A graduate of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, Ishani also has a diploma from The Centre for advanced Study and Research on Intellectual property at University of Washington School of law, USA.

Ishani started her practice in one of India’s leading IP law firm And in 2010 joined Sagar Chandra & associates as a partner. Ishani has extensive experience in Intellectual Property Litigation and prosecution. Her work in encompasses Brand development, prosecution and protection of Trademarks both in India as well as internationally , copyright prosecution and enforcement and patent litigation. Ishani’s client’s range from leading liquor brand to pharmaceutical companies ,FMCG companies to fashion designers.

Her practice focuses on intellectual property law, specifically copyright, trademark, designs, trade dress, domain name, false advertising, licensing and contract issues. She counsels clients regarding the acquisition and retention of intellectual property rights (including Internet issues) and also litigates disputes related to such rights. She has extensive experience with managing trademark portfolios, trademark prosecution and proceedings before the Indian Trademark Office.
